rock n roll bride X crown and glory

"if rainbows and sparkles make your heart swell with glee, then prepare to fall in love."

…. and we are in love with the new bridesmaid collection from rock n roll bride for crown and glory… you can imagine the excitement when vj was asked to collaborate and create a bespoke piece for Kat to wear in their gorgeous campaign.

Kat Williams, editor of Rock ‘n Roll Bride and Sophie King, creator of Crown and Glory first collaborated back in July 2013 on a gorgeous range of sassy hair accessories for the alternative bride.

this year the talented duo have teamed up again creating gorgeous new pieces for the bridesmaid collection.

...this is the story about where the magic happened…

earlier this year velvet johnstone launched the bridal edit at A Most Curious Wedding Fair, as chance would have it, the Rock Glory duo were also showcasing. Following a mutual love affair of each others stand, Kat and Sophie revealed that they were working on a second collection and asked if vj would be up for getting involved by creating a piece for the campaign shoot.

......small squeals of delight and the answer was yes!

bouncing a few emails back and forth we arranged for Kat to come to the studio to play dress up and discuss what she had in mind. Falling in love with the shape of the organza ‘belle’ skirt and sparkle of ‘love story’ beaded tee, we sent colour option swatches to Sophie before selecting the most complimentary shade to their collection.

a few meters of silk organza and beaded chiffon later stylist Rebecca Hoh-Hale collected the pieces and headed off to a studio packed with balloons, confetti and Kat, Sophie and their besties to shoot the collection campaign with Shell De Mar Photograph

...so with no further ado,……introducing ROCK ‘N’ ROLL BRIDE FOR CROWN AND GLORY – THE BRIDESMAID COLLECTION.

...amidst the excitement of fashion week, a collection of glitter and rainbows was born.. a collection of unique, colourful and bloody rotten gorgeous accessories designed for bridesmaids launched. with both the super cool best babes and cutsie flower girls in mind #rockglory has got you covered

“Only having visions of what I knew I didn’t want and not knowing at all what I did
want, how was I ever going to make such an important decision?Within a week of our
first consultation I had an array of sketches, each with different detailing that set
them apart from the others I’d seen. They were magical! In one email she had captured
my style and personality instantly while introducing me to the elegance of Velvet
Johnstone. As I longingly gazed over the sketches with my heart racing with excitement,
there I saw the dress I was going to marry my husband in.
Cheryl was thoroughly attentive in every meeting and it was great to go in to the
studio to keep up to date with the various stages, always having the opportunity to
amend or tweak the design at any time.
When the day came to collect it, I didn’t have an ounce of nerves, as I knew I was in
the best hands. I tried it on for the final time and despite never having that ‘perfect
dress’ image in my head before, I was now standing there, wearing the perfect wedding
